My First Fishing Trip in KL

Its been a while since my last fishing trip...Very interesting to look foward for another fishig trip and search through fishing forum malaysia to look for buddys..Came across a guy name Greenyz pm me for a fishing trip to Fish Valley in Semenyih. A place that famous for biggie fish. Not easy to land though that place coz its been a while people catch n release and the fish getting clever. So we decided to go on Monday 16 March 2009.And it also happen to be my off day.

We leave KL at 6am on that day. Thanks to him Bro Greenyz comin to fetch me all the way from Setiawangsa. We headed to Semenyih town for a breakfast. Then to FV at 7am to start fishing. Its a beautiful place for family fishing where they have some hut and trees to shelter and the enviroment is clean. But the water is muddy thanks to the heavy downpour last couple of day. The wheather was beautiful. Although is hot till noon but its better then raining. We first tryout at the bamboo area, where there lot of bamboo tree surrounding. There was no luck. My friend landed his first fish using earthworms. A patin weighing bout 2 kg plus. He didnt know that he got his fish till his another rod tangled and when trying to sort out the tangled line, then the fish start to run...

Nothing much in the morning till about 9.30 when theres a guy with a bike carrying fish food.He told us that is feeding time and we quickly moved to the water inlet where the guy going to release the food. And also bro Greenyz's friend (Steven) cameby for joining us for fishing. He quickly set up his tackle and cast. After feeding, we can see the fish eating nearby so we cast towards the playing fish. Whithin a few minutes, Steven caught his first fish. Thought was big but caught a Pacu weight about 4kg using BOMB dedak. Then after 15 min bro Greenyz turn to hook another fish. another patin caught by him using earthworms! Looks like the fish had new appetite. I was frus coz no fish yet...Till about 10.30am my first fish..My Abu REVO STX was screaming and The rod bending...Thought a big ones...Landed a big fat Rohu weighing bout 4kg using FV pellet pressed with water and bomb rig...At last caught a first fish at first KL fishing...

We then moved back to the Bamboo area because the sun is high up and its getting hot...I sat right under a bamboo tree and cast out using the same bait. Bro Greenyz join a new comer Mr Ting for a chat. And Steven sat another side fishing alone. When I was enjoying music from my handphone and smoking while tying some rig busted by earlier fish, my rod again bent and reel screaming...Ahh..another fish..shouting and gave a yank to set the hook...it was another rohu weight about 4kg plus also...

We had lunch, thanks to Steven who went out just to get lunch for us and he do some shopping at the tackle shop. We fish there till about 2.30 and its started to drizzle.not heavy and last about 20 min..All together I managed to land another 3 rohu and 1 is the biggest is about 5kg plus, A grass carp about 4kg plus and a lee koh bout 2kg plus. Bro Greenyz landed a Leekoh bout 2kg. He then swich to the middle road between our pond and RM5 pond.We met Jerllu who is a MFN forummer and also a fishing kaki.Chit chat with him...Bro greenyz got twice a the place, A pacu which snap his line and a grass carp thats going to landed but the hook got loose. About 4kg...

Then again a drizzle with thunderstorm...I quickly move back to the bamboo area for shelter.Dangerous fishing while raining...But no catch during the rain...We decided to call it off at 5pm where more dark cloud approching and the rain starting to get heavier...Reach home at 7pm because of KL famous traffic jam.

What a lovely fishing trip...Maybe will be joining them for another trip. This time is Catch n Release Patin pond. A private pond full of patin.. Will be meeting more MFN forummers in KL.
